In a zone 5 winter its a good idea to cover the base with a mound of sand sometime after temperatures go below the 20's (f). In spring after the mound thaws again wash the mound away with a hose (the mound takes the place of snow just in case it doesn't snow).
Pictures that you can find in books that might be available at your local library (they were in mine), and what climatic zone the author thought this rose fell into.
("The Encyclopedia of Roses" McKeon, 187, zones 6-9, prone to black spot), ("Growing Roses Organically" Wilde, 189, zones 5-10, DR-2/2), ("The Natural Rose Gardener" Walheim, 45), ("Designing With Roses" Lord, 38), ("Classic Roses" Beales, 343), ("Growing Roses For Small Gardens" Gibson, plate #13)
Crops (the crop number is painted on the side of the pot so as to show up well in pictures)
67-2) Potted 20 own root #1 size into 7 gallon; 3/23/06 for sale after 6/06
If you wish to find out more about purchasing this plant email me and ask about it.
