Crop 076 'Aucubaefolia', 'Dappled Dawn', Syringa vulgaris X, (Zones 3 thru 8, 10 feet x 5 feet) blooming for several weeks in late spring cool weather can lengthen blooming period while warm weather can shorten it, rather slow growth probably because of the gold variegation on the green leaf, Sport of 'President Grevy', Click top left hand picture for larger version (051206 is May 12, 2006 the picture was taken). Some variations in color are caused by environmental conditions while other slight variations may be caused by the light conditions for the photograph (we try to take pictures when its overcast so that the color is rendered in its correct tint).
