Crop 161 'Rose de Rescht' Portland, Old Garden Rose introduced before 1900. (Zones 4 thru 9, 4 feet x 3 feet) strongly fragrant flowers bloom in flushes several times late spring to summer.

Click the top picture for a large picture of the flower. Additional pictures may include fruit. fall foliage, etc. Plants aren't for sale until they flower. During the first inventory I take a picture of the labels only and save it using the inventory number as a file name. Once they flower I take a dated digital picture of the flower and and overwrite the label picture. If its not for sale it will show only a picture of the label. My hand measures 3.5 inches across the 4 fingers to compare flower size.

Blooms for several weeks in June for us then I remove the flowers as they fade being carefull to remove as little as possible, Later there's another flush of bloom in late July to August. Really nice for mass planting. Own root.

Pictures that you can find in books that might be available at your local library (they were in mine), and what climatic zone the author thought this rose fell into.

("Best Rose Guide" Phillips & Rix, 47, zone5(-13f)), ("The Encyclopedia of Roses" McKeon, 169, zones 4-8), ("Classic Roses" Beales, fl&lf:193), (Taylor's Guides "Roses" Ondra, page 69, zones 5-8), ("Growing Roses Organically" Wilde, 122, zones 4-10, DR-1/0)

Crops (the crop number is painted on the side of the pot so as to show up well in pictures).
