Azalea House Flowering Shrub Farm in Voorheesville, NY 12186

I grow plants that are locally hardy, disease resistant and fragrant including LILACS (mostly purple, magenta, violet and lavender types but we have a few of white, pink and blue), OLD GARDEN ROSES (alba rose, gallica rose, damask rose and centifolia rose) and DISEASE RESISTANT MODERN ROSES (Hybrid rugosa, Rambler roses etc.), NATIVE AZALEAS (Pinxterbloom Azalea, Flame Azalea and Swamp Azalea), BLUEBERRY BUSHES (Highbush V. corymbosum), ESPALIER TRAINED FRUIT TREES (a very old way of training fruit trees for the small garden), and more to sell during our RETAIL PLANT SALE (When Lilacs start to bloom through Independence day from 10 AM to 2 PM) or by APPOINTMENT (after July 4 I take cuttings to create new plants so I have to know when your coming in order to be there).

We sell plants in bloom. So if you like LILACS and AZALEAS come in MAY. But if you like ROSES come in June (I photograph them in bloom and save the picture on my web site using an inventory number for that plant alone). OUR MICRO NURSERY AT 40 VOORHEESVILLE AVE, VOORHEESVILLE, NY 12186

Albany County is within Zone 5 but surrounded by Zone 4. We grow our plants outdoors without fungicide in several locations around Voorheesville, then bring them to 40 Voorheesville Ave after they start blooming. Plants that aren't tolerant of local conditions die within the several years that we grow them before they become available for sale. Much of my year has to be spent propagating plants so I am available to sell plants only from May 15 to July 4; 10 AM to 2 PM or by appointment.
